The Nicaraguan Course: a Year Later

It seemed so incredible after the wonderful welcome we received from our colleagues at the Universidad Centroamericana in Managua that before a year was out we would be fearful for everyone's lives. The university was at the center of the political turmoil and people were being assassinated at the very periphery. They recently reached out to us for help as they scramble to keep things going by putting more courses online. I never posted the course we developed with so many of our colleagues there. It was well-received by the our students at Seattle University last fall and they loved being able to interact virtually with the faculty there. It is being taught again this fall by Marvin Torrez but it makes my heart ache to think of that beautiful country, already so torn by decades of war would have to endure more.
