Most of my art has been large (life size) figurative work in pastel, oil or acrylic. I was drawn to figurative work early since I was an art faculty brat; I started going to life drawing sessions when I was twelve. I’ve also always had an interest in illusions and mirror tricks. In the Earlier Work section below you can see some work (Echo) that I planned as a set of panels with mirrors set at 45-degree angles so that the viewer would be immersed in fragmented views. More recently I’ve been playing around with making "creatures" out of paper pulp packaging, cement and watercolor washes.
